Saranac b-grl Women's Luxe Fitness Glove (Gray Small)

Great Gloves Wish Site Offered a Sizing Chart4

I lift weights regularly and started to get callouses on my hands so I went seeking some gloves. I purchased these based on the good reviews. They are great but I'm giving them only four stars because there is no sizing chart available. I had originally ordered these in a large because I thought that would be a safe bet: I'm 5'8" taller than most women I know and based on my wrist size I have a "small large" frame. And I have to buy household gloves in a large. Well these gloves in a large where too big and of course when I went to order some in the next size down they were back-ordered & I had to wait nearly a month further callousing my hands. Once they arrived I found them to be a great fit & quite comfortable. They in no way hinder my grip on the weights they're cute and and a portion of the proceeds goes to breast cancer research. A good buy would definitely recommend.More detail ...

Newgrip Weight Lifting Gloves

Hands restorer hands preserver: one of the best inventions ever5

Here's just how good NewGrips are. For various reasons I was unable to row for two months. Practically a lifetime in rowing terms especially if your hands suffer from both carpal tunnel and arthritis. But yesterday I got back on the rowing machine slipped the NewGrips on over my wrist braces and did 7000 meters without the slightest tingle or numbness in my hands. Then the next day I did it again and the day after that. Still no symptoms. No one should ever row or lift weights or sweep or do a thousand other things that are [...] the hands without NewGrips.

NewGrips are quite simply one of the great inventions of all time. Using NewGrips I expect to be rowing well into my old old old age. All in all NewGrips are wonderful beyond words.

And if all that doesn't convince you look at it this way: if you have bad hands like mine NewGrips will give them new life; if your hands are still in good shape NewGrips will keep them that way.

TIPS...

1. For those who wear carpal tunnel braces: To keep the NewGrip pads from tearing tape a strip of Dr. Scholl's molefoam over the top of the metal section of the braces.

2. If you wear CTS wrist braces order the NewGrip wrist straps one size larger. Works like a charm

Comparing gloves (4 types)2

Boy have I had a hard time finding a pair of weight lifting gloves! My previous ones were simple leather Saranac gloves not much padding but they lasted for several years. The leather eventually rotted out forming huge holes. But I can definitely say that the Saranac gloves were awesome.

Now onto the replacement. I tried four different types of gloves.

Harbinger 143

Harbinger 1260

Harbinger 1215 Big Grip II

GoFit Diamond-Trac

The Harbinger 143 gloves were OK. They didn't have too much padding but fit very snug and were difficult to get off. Also the fingers were short.

The Harbinger 1260 and 1215 were both unusable due to having too much padding in the palm and knuckle area. The padding is comfortable for pressing exercises (e.g. bench press) but makes it all but impossible to do pulling exercises (e.g. pull ups curls deadlifts rows etc.). You can try them yourselves but save some money and take my word for it.

The GoFit Diamond-Trac gloves are the best of the bunch for my needs. They have a little padding in the palm but not enough to interfere with your grip. They are lightweight so I'm not sure how long they'll last but I'll reserve judgment on that. They do make my hands sweat because the neoprene on the back doesn't seem to breathe well. They run a little larger in size than the other gloves. Also I like that they have a finger tab to help you pull off the gloves.

Valeo Ocelot Lifting Gloves (Medium)

Valeo Ocelot Lifting Gloves4

I bought 2 pair of the Valero gloves based on the sales description. I think they are a good deal for the price. They are well made and quite comfortable. I would compare them to any simiular lifting glove costing twice as much. Like many pair I have used they are a bit snug even the X-large!More detail ...

I love these gloves4

I bought these gloves because being stationed in Iraq I don't have much to do with my down time other than lift weights. I was looking for something to limit my range of motion in order to alleviate wrist pain. These gloves have done just that and my wrists never hurt. The only draw back I have seen is that the pair I bought were a little tight even though they are the size I normally buy. I lift 6 days a week and I have yet to find any signs that the stitching is deteriorated. I am really enjoying these gloves.More detail ...

Comfortable and supportive5

I have had these gloves for a month now and have had no problems with them so far. They are both comfortable and supportive during my weight training sessions and I never sweat in them. One feature I find appealing about these gloves is that they can be put in the washer and dryer for quick and easy cleaning. The design of the gloves shows their feminine side without being too showy (no loud colors) which makes them easy to coordinate with any active wear. More detail ...

Valeo Competition Wrist Wrap Lifting Gloves (Large)

Why settle for second best?5

I am very pleased with my purchase of the Valeo Wrist Wrap Lifting gloves - though I do not use them for lifting. Rather I am in a manual wheelchair and these gloves with the full 3/4 length on the fingers and the incredible soft "sticky" leather helps me to move my wheelchair with ease and comfort - and the double thick leather in the palm and "thumb cradle" makes for long lasting performance. I have and still do recommend these gloves to other wheelchair bound people who use manual chairs.

Furthermore the service I recieved from Amazon was first rate. Fair pricing quick shipping and on-time delivery made this a most enjoyable experience.More detail ...

Gym Glove it is for gym.5

It is probably the lowest priced pair of gym gloves I have ever used. It gets the job done. A great filler item! Fit may be on the smaller side. I used to wear small on other brands but medium fits me fine with Valeo.More detail ...

Good weight lifting gloves4

These gloves have a good grip and the mesh on the back of the hand permites perpiration to evaporate easily. They contain an antibacterial agent that allows for them not to smell. More detail ...

Good quality but medium was too small4

These gloves are of a good quality though have a strong smell (leather dye I assume). I am using them almost daily and they cusion palms and fingers nicely. The velcro on the back is slightly uncomfortable probably due to the size being too small. I ordered gloves in medium size but they are too small for my relatively small hands. If you think you need medium you probably should order large. I am giving 4 stars for the size issue but the quality and price combination is very good.More detail ...
